Lunch Club

Allens Cross Over 60’s Lunch and Social Club has been running since the 1980s. We are a welcoming group where people with disabilities and older people socialise together. We take self-referrals and from those from social workers.
We provide a light breakfast plus a two-course home cooked meal. There is also a raffle with prizes of fresh fruit and produce from our award-winning garden.
Our friendly volunteers befriend members and our activities co-ordinator provides important emotional and pastoral support and advice during the week.
Activities include singing, crafts, games, mindfulness, chair yoga and gentle exercises. We will also be doing –
- Simple planting / crafts in our community garden
- Story telling with Anna
- ‘System-Fit’ seated exercises
- Chair Yoga, Meditation and Mindfulness
- ‘Grey’s’ Old films and memories of Birmingham
- Regular bingo and raffles
Professional entertainers are invited on a regular basis. Pictured below is a ‘Pianosmith’ Sing-a-long session.
